LECOM Bradenton’s Pharmacy Exploration Academy (PEA) will offer high school students (10th, 11th & 12th grade plus recent graduates) a one-week summer program in which they will experience an academic Pharmacy School environment by participating in small group instructions, hands-on laboratory experiments, and patient counseling. THIRTY-TWO Pharmacy Exploration Academy (PEA) students will be active participants in lectures, laboratory experiemnts, and small group learning acitivies. The laboratory experiences are designed to expose the PEA students to hands-on practical Pharmacy skills using the math, chemistry, and biology they learned in high school. At the graduation program, the PEA students will earn a certificate and there is a prize for first place on the PEA exam. The overall academy program is consistent with activities designed in the training of Pharmacists.
